MSPSUG March 2017 Virtual Meeting – PowerShell Automation for Websites

For the March 2017 Mississippi PowerShell User Group virtual meeting, Michael West will be presenting “PowerShell Automation for Websites” on Tuesday, March 21st  at 8:30pm central time.

Why should people in IT get to have all the fun? Learn how Software Engineers and Marketers can share in the joy that is PowerShell. From bulk content changes to fancy reports, Sitecore PowerShell Extensions adds scripting capabilities in the context of a running website.

Michael West is a passionate technologist and Application Architect at Concentra – a national healthcare company in Dallas, Texas. In his roles as developer, manager, designer, and innovator, he begins with empowering others and ends by helping them succeed.

During Michael’s time working in IT, he has taken on responsibilities in UX Design, UX Development, DevOps, Environment Governance, and Release Management. He enjoys taking on new challenges and is known for bringing innovative solutions to the software industry.

Michael received the 2015, 2016, and 2017 Sitecore Technology MVP award in recognition of his active contribution to the Sitecore community. He is a key contributor to the popular open source module Sitecore PowerShell Extensions (SPE), found on the Sitecore Marketplace. Teaching others is another passion of his. Many of his thoughts and ideas are shared with the community through user groups, video tutorials, and written material.

The Mississippi PowerShell User Group Meetings are held online (via Skype for Business) on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:30pm Central Time and are free to attend. The system requirements to attend these online meetings can be found on the MSPSUG website under the “Attendee Info” section.
