Note: It is not necessary to live in Mississippi or join our user group to attend our meetings or present a session for our user group.
What are the requirements to attend these meetings? You’ll need to have the Microsoft Lync Attendee Client installed which is available for free. There is a user level install and an admin level install, either of which will work fine. While there is a web client, you will not be able to hear the audio portion of the meeting using the web client.
Download one of the Lync clients listed in the previous paragraph:
After the installation of the Lync attendee client is complete:
Click on either the link you received from EventBrite for the meeting or copy and paste it into Internet Explorer:
The Lync Attendee client will start. Select “Join as Guest” and enter your name. This name will be able to be viewed by other participants:
You’ll now be able to view and hear the meeting (as long as the speaker has started the presentation):
The audio portion of our meetings is only available via voice over IP.
