For the March 2018 Mississippi PowerShell User Group virtual meeting, Brandon Olin will be presenting “Invoke-ChatOps: Level up and change your culture with chat and PowerShell” on Tuesday, March 27th at 8:30pm central time.
Chat is not where you put cat gifs anymore. This talk will detail the social and technical benefits of adopting ChatOps in your organization using PoshBot, a PowerShell-based bot framework. Starting providing more value to your business and put your conversations to work using PowerShell.
Brandon is a Cloud Enterprise Architect at Columbia Sportswear focusing on automation, configuration management, Azure, and monitoring. He spends much of his time exploring new technologies to drive the business forward and loves to apply ideas pioneered in the DevOps community to the traditional enterprise environment with the goal of solving real-world business problems. Brandon is active in the PowerShell community with many projects published to the PowerShell Gallery such as PoshBot and POSHOrigin. Brandon is also the primary maintainer of psake, a PowerShell-based build framework, and the Operation Validation Framework, a Pester-based infrastructure testing framework.
The Mississippi PowerShell User Group Meetings are typically held online (via Skype for Business) on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:30pm Central Time and are free to attend. During the months from January 2018 through April 2018, we are meeting on the last Tuesday of the month due to scheduling conflicts.
