Open Discussion Meetings Starting in August 2020

For the longest time, the Mississippi PowerShell User Group has run on a fairly consistent meeting cadence of one meeting per month. This has worked well, but we feel that there we can do more to support the PowerShell community. This is why, starting in August 2020, we will be adding an open discussion meeting that will occur on the fourth Tuesday of each month, at 7:30pm Mountain time. The reason for this change is based on an observed trend. Generally, we only get a few minutes before and after Read more [...]

The End of a Chapter and the Beginning of Another for the Mississippi PowerShell User Group

Rohn Edwards and I  (Mike F. Robbins) started the Mississippi PowerShell User Group back in February of 2013. I've led this user group since then and have recently decided to look for a successor due to calendar creep. David Lamb who has been helping to run the user group has volunteered to take on that role. David Lamb is a Systems Administrator managing Windows servers and clients since 1995, spending a large portion of his career in the aviation industry. His first certification was the MCSE Read more [...]

One thing we discussed last night was the official April meeting of the Mississippi PowerShell User Group which will be held on Tuesday, April 9th at 8:30pm Central Time. Our Second Mississippi PowerShell User Group Test Meeting

Last night's test meeting went very well. We continued testing the capabilities of Lync, and Mike went over some of the presentation he is planning to give at our first meeting next Tuesday, March 12th at 8:30pm CST. I'm really looking forward to his presentation on parsing event logs, especially since I don't really use the event log cmdlets as often as I should.
